Kids Summer Clay Camp

In this one week summer camp, children ages 6-12 will take part in art projects that inspire exploration, experimentation, creative expression, and meaningful play. Each camp week will focus on a different theme, and kids will investigate these themes while engaging with different art, design, and craft processes and materials such as (but not limited to) hand-building with clay, glazing, printmaking, and collage. Alongside making ceramic and art projects, kids will experience what it’s like creating in a collective arts center and will learn how to incorporate a variety of skills into the creative process such as learning how to start and keep an art journal. As part of this camp experience and to further explore the project themes outside of the studio, campers will be taken on field trips to different places around Greenpoint.
